The Plenary of the Town Council of Albox has approved by absolute majority in plenary session this week to agree the management of the PFEA with the Provincial Council of Almeria.
Until now, the Provincial Council of Almeria in its work of economic, legal and technical assistance to municipalities had signed agreements with all the towns in the province except Albox, which until now managed it directly. For the councillor for Works, Esteban Carrión, this decision, «represents a saving of 60,000 euros which will benefit all Albojenses, as well as continuing to benefit local companies in terms of hiring and supply of material» he explained during the plenary session.
Provincial Council, through the Special Delegation of Agricultural Employment, provides different services, such as the application, processing and justification of works, elaboration of job offers, recruitment, social security and payroll, drafting of reports, drafting of health and safety plans, works management and health and safety coordination, workers’ prevention service, agreement with the Andalusian Regional Government for the financing of materials.

According to the estimation made by the government team of the Town Hall of Albox, between administration staff, technical staff, training courses, health and safety coordination, and life and accident insurance, the council will save 60,282 euros which will redound in services, aid and subsidies to the residents.
«Albox dedicates sixty percent of its budget to pay the salaries of the workers, we have assumed a complicated financial situation and in this case it means an important saving that we will be able to allocate to other needs of the people of Albox. All the town councils in the province have taken this decision because it is the best way to manage it, and it also means savings for the municipal coffers. It is a decision that we took out of responsibility because we are convinced that it is a benefit for our town,» explained the mayoress of Albox, María del Mar Alfonso, at the plenary session.
