Cosentino shapes the future of the stone industry at C.Next Retail

260 professionals from the stone, processing and kitchen and bathroom sectors, from 18 countries in the Iberian and Latin American markets, are taking part in a new convention organised by Cosentino in Almeria.

The Cosentino Convention format, «C.Next», has established itself in recent years as an essential event to set trends and mark the future of sectors such as design, architecture and interior design. They are also a demonstration of the Spanish company’s commitment to its value chain, customers and collaborating firms.

Thus, Almeria and Cosentino’s headquarters in Cantoría are hosting the C.Next Retail event during these days (17 to 20 March). 260 professionals from the stone, transformation and kitchen and bathroom sectors, from 18 countries in the Iberian (Spain and Portugal) and Latin American (with countries such as Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Costa Rica, Chile and Ecuador among others) markets, will be immersed in two full days of content that include a visit to the Cosentino factory, conferences with top-level speakers, and spaces to interact and learn about the latest developments in the sector.

Staying at the CaboGata Jardín hotel, those attending the Convention – some 300 people in total including Cosentino’s own team – are also enjoying these days in other parts of the province, such as the Cervantes Theatre in the capital, where tomorrow Tuesday’s event will take place, as well as the La Jábega venue in Viator. Today, Monday, the venue was Cantoria, in the Almanzora Region. At Cosentino’s headquarters, and after the words of welcome by Francisco Martínez-Cosentino Justo, the main heads of innovation and product, marketing and Retail Business Innovation explained to the professionals the company’s new developments in R&D, highlighting the Hybriq+® technology and the new Silestone®XM category, health and safety, and sustainability, including a guided tour of the industrial park.

The Cervantes Theatre in Almeria will take over tomorrow. With Daniel Colino, head of CJR Kitchens and Cosentino ambassador, as host, the day will feature interesting sessions such as those led by Sebastián Acedo, Director of the Kitchen Furniture Association (AMC); the discussion on bathrooms between Eduardo Martínez-Cosentino Ramos, Sales Director of Iberia, and Carlos Blanco, manager of Vascan Tile, and the round table «The future of the industry», moderated by Santiago Alfonso, with the participation of Laureano Castillo Rodríguez, owner of Mármoles Xauen and President of the Association of Marble Manufacturers of Andalusia; Nayra García Alfonso, owner of Mármoles El Diamante; Juan Mayol Torres, owner of Terra Mabre; and José Vicente Maestre of Conforama.

The day will conclude with the presentation of awards to the firms that form part of Rock Masters, the international programme promoted by Cosentino that pays tribute to the work and experience of marble workers. Finally, and as proof of the relevance of this type of event, C. Next Retail Iberia & Latam has the support and sponsorship of leading companies in the sector, with Tenax, Comandulli and GMM Stone Machinery as Platinum sponsors. Relevant players in the sector such as Breton, Pomdi, Italdiamant, ADW Diamond Solutions and Flow, among others, collaborate as Silver sponsors.
