In a press release sent to the media, the Partido Popular of Cantoria announces that its spokesman in the City Council, Saturnino Fernández, is going to demand explanations from the Mayoress of Cantoria, Purificación Sánchez, after learning through the media of the possible involvement of the City Council of Cantoria in the Koldo case, a situation that the PP spokesman describes as «regrettable» because the people of Cantoria do not deserve their City Council to be involved in this serious case of corruption within the Socialist Party.
«Saturnino Fernández has announced that the Popular Municipal Group will request the contract files of the company under investigation in this case, which recently received a municipal contract worth 181,000 euros».
«In addition, he expects Purificación Sánchez to explain to the neighbours all the contracts that her government team has signed with Áridos Anfersa since 2020, which would add up to a whopping 700,000 euros between the contracts with this company and another that was taken over by the same company.»

The PP spokesman also expects the socialist mayor to explain the awarding of the «contract for the supply of various municipal works», in which Áridos Anfersa scored 100 points compared to the 0 of another prestigious company that has participated in the construction of the Almanzora motorway, among other works.
«We want Purificación Sánchez to clarify whether this score is correct or whether it was simply the one that interested the government team the most at the time. The people of Cantor have the right to know how public money is spent and whether it is done with transparency or by hiding alleged favouritism,» he said.
Finally, Saturnino Fernández regrets that Cantoria has been tainted by a corruption scheme that shames all Spaniards and calls on the government team to act quickly and transparently when it comes to giving explanations, so that the neighbours know whether the link with the company is coincidental or whether there is some dark interest behind it.
