The meeting was also attended by the deputy mayor of Fines, José Manuel López Oliver, the president of the Association of Marble Entrepreneurs of Andalusia (AEMA), Jesús Posadas, and the students of the training itineraries that are currently being taught: artistic, artisanal and industrial carving of natural stone and derivatives; management and maintenance of mining machinery in open pit mining; and management and programming of numerical control machinery, to which the delegate has delivered diplomas of various training modules.
Amós García thanked the companies “for their involvement so that the students of the school can know the real work in the marble sector and complete their preparation to access the labor market knowing the way of working, values and skills required in companies, in addition to putting into practice their knowledge” and reported that “practices have been extended to all training activities of the school”. He has also highlighted as a novelty that companies can apply for “the aid that the Ministry of Employment offers as compensation for hosting students in practices, thus responding to their request” and has informed them that in compliance with the new state regulations that came into force in January, from the SAE will be discharged from the Social Security to students in practices.

In this sense, he recalled the training needs detection studies that are carried out from the SAE and explained that “it is intended to streamline this process to make it more dynamic, offering direct advice in emerging sectors that may be somehow related to the extractive industry.” “We have a line of work open constantly, analyzing possible ways of interaction with the different companies, entities, public and private, public administrations present in the territory, etc., to adapt this programming to the real needs existing in the region and in the sector in general, and of course, to the incipient needs that can mean growth possibilities”, has abounded the delegate of Employment.
At the meeting, García Hueso also indicated that the Marble School, as a National Reference Center of Natural Stone, “has the mission to innovate and experiment in the FP for Employment within the family of extractive industries, in line with the needs that arise, and especially we are committed to the evolution towards innovation in research and training in sustainability and circular economy in the sector. In addition, he pointed out that the School “is already working to expand the training offer to related sectors and to adapt to the new vocational training model, which involves a firm commitment to Dual Vocational Training”.
On the other hand, he has informed the business representatives that the Marble School of Fines is a permanent seat of accreditation of skills for workers who have not completed formal studies in the stone sector and other sectors, but who have the necessary knowledge and skills due to their work experience or because they have been trained outside the official system.

Training for the employed and training contracts in alternation.
