The members of the Partido Popular in Purchena have renewed their local executive which is now chaired by Mari Carmen Domene, «a purchenera in love with her town who intends to work hand in hand with all the members of her executive so that Purchena occupies the place it deserves in the Almanzora and so that in the next elections the Partido Popular revalidates its mandate in the Town Hall after more than 40 years of socialist governments», say the Popular Party through a press release.
Mari Carmen Domene thanked the members of the PP for the trust placed in her and assured that all those who accompany her in this new executive are «brave people who stand up without fear and expose their ideas with respect, because being a member of the PP in Purchena is a risky sport».
In her speech, the new president recalled how many residents have suffered rejection and have even withdrawn their greetings for being on a PP list, and she thanked all of them for the step they took to achieve, after more than 40 years, that the PP finally governs the municipality.
Domene pointed out that there are many projects that Jose Luis Serrano’s team is going to implement in the town, but has asked for patience from the residents to be able to develop them and make Purchena a family town where young and old can enjoy.
Finally, he stressed that the Purchena PP is a party open to all.
«We want to work for our town but we need each and every one of you. We will be the eyes and feet of the mayor and councillors and we will hold regular meetings to listen to your advice. We are the best team to achieve together the Purchena that we want and that we, the people of Purchena, deserve», he concluded.
For their part, both the national deputy, Maribel S. Torregrosa, and the senator, Miguel Ángel Castellón, have highlighted the «project with a lot of life» that has been born in the PP of Purchena, in which adding and uniting is the key to making the municipality a better place to live.
They also congratulated the PP government team in the Town Hall for having achieved political change in Purchena and remembered all those who have stepped forward over the years to achieve this historic milestone in the town.
«You are a great team who are working hard to improve your municipality. We are proud of what you are achieving and you must continue on this path to revalidate the mayor’s office again and continue improving services and building a better town, governing for everyone and doing so with honesty and integrity», they assured.
Finally, both José Luis Serrano and Joaquín Navío explained how proud they were to ensure that Purchena was governed by the PP and recalled some of the achievements that have been made in these ten months at the head of the Town Council.
In this sense, they explained that Purchena has achieved the largest budget in its history and has carried out actions such as the toy library, the promotion of festivities and traditions, the first indoor football school, the repair of the entrance to El Campillo which will soon be a reality, the collaboration with the brotherhoods and the church for the organisation of events, and the installation of photovoltaic panels to reduce the electricity bill.
Finally, they insisted that «the Purchena PP is a big family in which everyone has an opinion» and asked for everyone’s help to «build the Purchena we want».
