The delegate of the Government of Andalusia in Almeria, Aránzazu Martín, has made a technical visit to Punto Vuela in the town of Macael, where there were elderly people from the municipality and three trainees from the intermediate level of Microcomputer Systems and Networks of the IES Rosa Navarro de Olula del Río, who have shown her the interactive Escape Room «Conoce Macael» (Get to know Macael).
This is an activity that takes place on the digital screen, aimed at all citizens in general, which offers a unique experience that combines entertainment, learning and skills development in a state-of-the-art interactive environment.
In this Escape room there are 5 missions: each one has a different activity with images, videos and questions about the municipality. Once the phase has been completed, a diploma is displayed on the screen for those users who have succeeded. It can be done individually or in teams, thus encouraging collaboration, development of cognitive skills, entertainment, time management, socialisation and the most important part: to show and train the user in the use of new technological tools such as the digital screen.
In the past year 2023, 127 activities were developed in this Punto Vuela, which has incorporated 91 new users. The training actions were attended by 516 people and the number of connections was 1,639.
During the tour she was accompanied by the delegate of Economy, Finance, European Funds, Industry, Energy and Mines, Guillermo Casquet; the mayor of the municipality, Raúl Martínez; on behalf of the Almería Strategic Office (ADA), Fidel Fernández; the territorial coordinator of the Fernando de los Ríos Consortium in Almería, María Dolores Alcaraz, the Local Innovation Agent, Ana Rubio and the Local Innovation Agent of Laroya and Benitagla, Ana María Navarro.
