Over 300 seniors enjoy a get-together to celebrate Family Day

More than three hundred residents have enjoyed this week a Day of Coexistence organised by the council of Albox Town Hall.

A day to celebrate and share among the elderly of the municipality where they were accompanied by the Delegate of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality, Francisco Bellido, the Deputy, Ana Lourdes Ramirez, the mayoress of Albox, Maria del Mar Alfonso and much of the government team that did not want to miss this meeting that is part of the Month of Families.

Grandparents are a fundamental pillar in today’s society, without them it would be impossible for most families to reconcile work and family life. Grandparents are wisdom, affection, stability and many other values that they transmit to the new generations.

The councillor for the elderly, Lucía Gómez, was responsible for paying tribute to the attendees “thank you for being a reference point in the lives of all of us. For being love, dedication and strength. You are fundamental in every home, you are the great pillar of families”.

For her part, the mayoress, María del Mar Alfonso, pledged to “work tirelessly to ensure that each of you feel cared for and respected, from this government team we will look after your needs,” she said during the ceremony.
