‘Sabores Almería’ begins its launch in the Asian market in South Korea

In the year of “the revolution of the brand and the consolidation of its internationalization” ‘Sabores Almería’ begins a new path in the powerful Asian market with its participation in the Seoul Food & Hotel fair, in South Korea until next December 14 June, one of the most important international gastronomic events held each year on this continent.

The Provincial Council gourmet brand participates in this global forum with its own space, in collaboration with the Almería Chamber of Commerce, within the stand of the Spanish Federation of Food and Beverage Industries, FIAB, with the participation of seven companies: Almazara de Lubrín, Bodega Palomillo, Óleo Almanzora, Lorusso, Miel Sierra de Los Filabres, Salazones Asensio and Luxeapers. All of them exhibit their products in the international pavilion of the Kintex venue, located in hall 8.

The deputy for Agri-Food Promotion, Commerce and Consumption, Carlos Sánchez, has given a very positive assessment of the opening day of the fair by stating that “it is the first time that from the Provincial Council and ‘Sabores Almería’ we have landed on the Asian continent and We do with seven gourmet brand companies. “We are very happy because the South Korean market is emerging and allows us to open the doors of Asia to our products.”

In this sense, Sánchez has highlighted the opportunities that are presented at this fair where Almeria companies have already had the possibility of holding work meetings with distributors, hotel or restaurant chains and has pointed out that “the sensations are very good and we have “We have a complete agenda of meetings and parallel activities ahead that we are convinced will give positive results.”

The participation of ‘Sabores Almería’ in Seoul Food & Hotel occurs thanks to the agreement signed between the Almería Provincial Council and the Almería Chamber of Commerce with the aim of projecting ‘Sabores Almería’ to the world. The Chamber’s support for Almeria companies participating in Seoul is focused on covering their attendance and participation in this event, providing Almeria SMEs with an opportunity to address their internationalization.

The Almeria presence in Seoul constitutes the second international action of ‘Sabores Almería’, which is limited to the collaboration alliance with the Chamber of Almería after landing in Italy at the beginning of last May. Later ‘Sabores Almería’ will also be present at important gastronomic events in countries such as the United Kingdom, France and the United States.

This fair, which is celebrating its 14th edition, arises from the union of two large fairs: Food & Hotel Korea and Seoul Food: both with 30 years of experience. It is one of the most important gastronomic events on the entire Asian continent:
