The stage area of the Mueso Pedro Gilabert in Arboleas is modernised with the help of the Junta de Andalucía.

The delegate of the Government of the Government of Andalusia in Almería, Aránzazu Martín and the territorial delegate of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports, Juan José Alonso, have visited the Assembly Hall located in the Pedro Gilabert Museum in Arboleas, dedicated to cultural events of various kinds, such as performing and musical arts, which has been subsidized with more than 83,185 euros, for an investment of 130,745.

This aid is part of the subsidies, under a competitive competition regime, for investment for the modernization and sustainable management of infrastructures for the performing and musical arts in Andalusia, granted by the Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions, under the “Recovery Plan , Transformation and Resilience” financed with Next Generation European funds.

The work carried out in the room has consisted of the renovation and modification of the entire audio system, the lighting has been replaced with LED lights and the digitalization of the control panels, the screen and the projector has been modernized.

Twelve beneficiary municipalities

In the province of Almería, 12 municipalities have benefited from this aid, subsidized with a total of 782,184.11 euros. These are Carboneras, La Mojonera, Adra, Tabernas, Almería, Huércal Overa, El Ejido, Mojácar, Laujar de Andarax, Vícar, Arboleas and Dalías.

The financial benefits have been aimed at financing investment projects for the modernization and sustainable management of the infrastructure of the performing spaces that have a continuous programming regarding the exhibition of performing arts, music and flamenco shows. 

The infrastructures that have been the reason for investment have been theaters, theater halls, auditoriums, circus tents, live music venues, rehearsal rooms and other spaces that can justify their use and programming in performing arts, music and flamenco.

Likewise, the eligible concepts have been, broadly speaking, the modernization of audio and network communications systems, digital lighting systems, digital video systems, modernization of digital management of stage machinery and modernization of tools and systems. digital tools for artistic management and show production in performing arts and music venues.

Martín has highlighted the “importance of the performing and musical spaces of the province of Almería adapting to new times, using the resources of technology and innovation, being more sustainable and effective” and has defended the role of Culture as “social dynamizer.”

The delegate of the Andalusian Government has also made reference to the objective of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports of «making culture an element of territorial cohesion in Andalusia, bringing it closer to all its municipalities.»
