The coordinator of the Andalusian Youth Institute, Diego Martínez, has visited the new Youth Information Centre that the Andalusian Government has opened in the municipality of Zurgena, where he was received by its mayor, Domingo Trabalón.
In this space, young people can find out about all the programmes that the IAJ works with and can also obtain a youth card, since the centre is the managing entity. This document, which can be obtained by anyone between 14 and 31 years old, is valid throughout Europe. In the province of Almería, it has around 250 discounts on a multitude of activities.
The Mayor of Zurgena, Domingo Trabalón, stressed during his visit that “the future of the municipality is its young people, therefore, this new milestone for Zurgena will enable young people to have the opportunity within our own municipality to develop themselves and learn about the programs from which they can benefit.”
For his part, the coordinator of the Andalusian Youth Institute, Diego Martínez, has highlighted that “the work done by mayors like Domingo is essential, since their commitment allows the IAJ to reach out to its young people more easily in order to attend to and listen to their demands.”
There are currently 51 Youth Information Centres in the province of Almería.
