The Alfoquía of Zurgena celebrates its festivities in honour of its patron saint, the Virgin of Carmen.
Today, Thursday, the official opening speech of the festivities will be given by Fernando Giménez, vice president of the Provincial Council of Almería and deputy for the presidency, tourism and historical heritage. It will be at 10:30 p.m. At 11 p.m. the El Norte orchestra will perform. At midnight the election of the 2024 festivities queen will take place.
The Fiesta de Colores is scheduled for tomorrow, Friday 12 July, with entertainment for the little ones to enjoy. It will take place at 7pm.
At 8pm the opening of the painting exhibition by artist Helen Sánchez-Zhu will take place at the Ginés Parra Interpretation Centre. At 11pm the El Norte orchestra will perform. At 3am the night will be livened up with music by a DJ.
On Saturday 13 July there will be a children’s party with inflatables and water attractions at the municipal swimming pool. At 11pm the Orquesta Prometida will perform and later the DJs will liven up the evening.
A Foam Party is scheduled for Sunday, July 14 at 6 p.m. and a performance by the Orquesta Prometida.
On Monday, July 15 at 10 p.m., the attractions will have a discount for Children’s Day and at 11 p.m. the Trío A Contraluz will perform.
On Tuesday at 9.30 am there will be free churros for adults. At 8 pm there will be a mass and a procession of the Patron Saint accompanied by the musical group Nuestra Señora del Carmen. At 11 pm there will be a performance by the Cuarteto Caramelo.
