The public company Industrial Verifications of Andalusia, Veiasa, attached to the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mines, has implemented in its network of 70 ITV stations an innovative project called «Direct to Line» that allows users to directly access the inspection line, completing all the previous procedures virtually and without having to go to the offices.
This is a new, pioneering web application in the vehicle inspection sector at a national level, which sends a text message (SMS) to the user’s mobile phone with a link to a web page where the appointment details are pre-loaded. By simply pressing the “I AM HERE” button, the customer can register without leaving their vehicle.
After a 15-month development and execution period and several pilot tests at the El Pino and Gelves stations in Seville, the project continued to be rolled out at all the centres in the province of Almería, before finally being implemented in all the ITV stations spread across Andalusia.
Thanks to this tool, the user will be able to pay by bank card, whether or not he/she registered it in the appointment request previously, and through it he/she will also be able to see the call to the inspection line from his/her own vehicle, since the line notification panel will be displayed on his/her own mobile phone.
This is a tool whose main advantage is the speed of the registration process, as it does not take more than a minute, especially if the user has previously paid online. In addition to the convenience of not having to get out of the car to carry out this procedure, the application allows payment by card on the spot, offering protected and secure transactions.
A notable feature of this application is that users can see in real time the number of people ahead of them before going through the ITV, which helps to better manage waiting time.
With “Directo a Línea”, the experience of passing the ITV becomes faster, more comfortable and more efficient, marking a significant advance in the digitalization of vehicle technical inspection services in Andalusia, in line with Veiasa’s policy of achieving the best user experience.
