On July 17, the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Ibáñez Cosentino Art Foundation was held and, with all the trustees present, the agreements were unanimously adopted for the resignation of Rita Casanova Pagán as a member of the Board of Trustees, and the incorporation, consequently, of Luis Fernando Trigo Sierra as a new Trustee.
Luis Fernando Trigo Sierra is a lawyer, art collector, patron and cultural manager. He is the president of the El Secreto de la Filantropía Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting cultural patronage.
He has a long professional career as a lawyer, expert in property and tax law, having advised important Spanish and foreign business families, large companies and governments, being recognized as one of the most qualified experts in the field.
His art collection is especially focused on Spanish painting from between the centuries (19th and 20th centuries), having held several thematic exhibitions with works from his collection, and also frequently lending works to temporary exhibitions programmed by museums and art centres. For example, Luis Fernando Trigo Sierra is one of the main donors of works for the permanent collection of the MUREC. He has also been one of the collectors who has loaned works by Joaquin Sorolla for the extraordinary temporary exhibition currently in progress at the MUREC, which can be visited until 20 October 2024.
