A 59-year-old British man has died at the La Inmaculada Hospital in Huércal-Overa after being allegedly attacked by a neighbour who hit him on the head with a hoe for walking his dog near his house in Zurgena.
Civil Guard sources confirmed this violent death to EFE on Tuesday and that the case has already been «clarified and brought to court, pending some technical aspects.»
Sources from 112 Andalucía have indicated that, at around 01:10 on 12 August, a call alerted that a man had attacked another man with a farming tool in the El Palacés neighbourhood, in Zurgena.

Police, Civil Guard and 061 paramedics attended the scene and informed 112 that they had evacuated a 59-year-old man to La Inmaculada hospital.
According to sources close to the case, the British man who was attacked died on Saturday in the hospital, due to injuries sustained at the hands of his neighbour, who had initially been arrested for attempted murder.
The sources have stated that the victim was walking his dog outside the house of the alleged attacker, of Spanish origin, something that would not have pleased the alleged attacker, who would have left his home to attack him with the aforementioned tool.
