The Popular Party of Purchena, through a press release sent to the media, has regretted «the continuous harassment and demolition practiced by the socialist opposition in the town with the sole purpose of discrediting the good management that the PP Government, led by José Luis Serrano, has been carrying out for just over a year since it won the municipal elections by an absolute majority, ending more than 40 years of socialist governments.»
The PP has described the opposition that the PSOE is carrying out in the town as “harmful”, riddled with lies and hoaxes that they spread through social networks, because they are not even capable of showing their face in the plenary sessions and refuting the good work that the PP is doing for the benefit of all the residents with the sole aim of promoting the town and ensuring that Purchena occupies the place it deserves in the Almanzora region.
The Popular Party recalls that the PSOE has been governing the municipality for more than 40 years, a time that has meant that Purchena has stopped progressing and has increasingly lost prestige, a situation that José Luis Serrano’s team is tackling with measures to stop depopulation and always thinking about the general well-being of the people of Purchena.
The PP regrets that the PSOE is putting obstacles in the way of all the positive things that are achieved for Purchena, which shows the “moral baseness” of the socialists who do not care about the progress of the municipality, but rather the only thing they seek is their “personal progress and that of their party” as they already demonstrated when they governed by placing friends in youth centres, while discriminating against neighbours who openly said they were not Socialist Party voters.
The Ombudsman agrees with the government team
Socialist politics in the municipality has reached such a level of degradation that they have even reported the governing team to the Ombudsman for not providing the Socialist Party with an office in the Town Hall. After months of waiting, it has now been revealed that the Ombudsman has ruled in favour of the PP and that the PSOE will have to find an office outside the Town Hall.
The increase in the garbage tax is a tax imposed by Pedro Sánchez’s government
In addition to this, there is constant criticism over the increase in taxes such as the garbage tax, which is not even a municipal tax because it is collected through the Almanzora-Levante-Los Vélez Consortium, which has been forced to raise the rate by 30% because «the Government of Pedro Sánchez has adopted a European regulation on waste that is materialized through the creation of this new tax for the dumping of waste throughout the country», a decision that all residents are going to pay for with the connivance of the PSOE of Purchena that «manipulates the information at will with the sole purpose of covering up the fact that the Government of Pedro Sánchez is frying citizens with taxes».
On the other hand, the PP in Purchena emphasises that the main objective of José Luis Serrano’s Government team is to promote new projects in the municipality and work to make Purchena a benchmark in Almanzora, while others were only looking to maintain their clientele network and continue to boss people around without taking into account the needs of the residents and the town.
