Silestone® and Dekton® win five KBB Readers’ Choice Awards

As one of the most important and global markets for  Cosentino , the Spanish company’s products are once again being recognised by the main specialist publications and professionals in the architecture, design and K&B sectors of North America. The most recent milestone has been the receipt of up to  5 awards from  Kitchen & Bath Business  (KBB) magazine, the official publication of the  National Kitchen & Bath Association of the United States  (NKBA).

The  KBB Readers’ Choice Awards  are highly valued awards, as they are  selected by votes from the  magazine’s readers – over 74,000 readers took part this year – based on criteria such as local availability, supplier/manufacturer support, style/aesthetics, ease of use/cleaning, and price for their customers’ budgets.  Dekton®  was selected as the  winning product in the bathroom flooring, bathroom wall cladding, kitchen countertop and kitchen flooring categories , while  Silestone®  also took home the recognition  in the kitchen countertop category.

These awards are added to a long list of awards that the firm has been collecting in the North American country in recent months, and which  have mainly recognized the latest collections of both Silestone® and Dekton® .  Some of these awards have been :

The prestigious architectural publication announced a few months ago the winners of its awards for the best products of 2024. Products and solutions that are  chosen directly by a jury composed of  practicing architects and designers from renowned studios around the world. In this edition, the recent Dekton® Pietra Kode series  was chosen as the best product in the “Hard Surfacing, Tiles & Stone” category.

Organized by Luxe Interiors + Design’s publication  , these awards recognize excellence and innovation in new products aimed at residential architecture, interior design and landscape architecture projects in the United States. Once again, the  Dekton® Pietra Kode collection received the award for best collaboration in Stone  thanks to the joint work carried out for its development with architect and designer Daniel Germani.

In this case, we travel to New York with the awards promoted by  Interior Design magazine  for the ninth consecutive year. The NYCxDesign Awards recognize the best design and interior design projects, and the best cutting-edge products that can be seen in the areas of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, carried out by students, established professionals and brands that lead the industry. This year,  in the Product category, and in the Surfaces category, the winner was Dekton® Ukiyo,  the firm’s commitment to the finish and grooved structures designed jointly with designer Claudia Ashfar.

We move on to the  Silestone® hybrid mineral surface  and sustainability criteria with the recognition of the specialist publication Green Builder, which once again this year has selected the products that promote respect and care for the environment in the construction sector through innovative technology and vision.   In the Surfaces and Floors category, the magazine chose the Silestone® Le Chic collection as the winner  for its sustainable approach based on the milestones linked to  Hybriq+® technology.

Back at the NKBA, this year the American industry association recognised the significant developments made in Silestone® in recent years thanks to Cosentino’s Hybriq+® technology. The jury, a group of thirty designers under 30 years of age (30 Under 30), was divided into five teams according to different categories: Colour, Outdoor Living, Smart Home, Living on Site, Wellbeing/Health and Sustainability.  The Sustainability team awarded Hybriq+® for introducing circularity variables, use of recycled raw materials and efficiency in the production of Silestone®, as well as greater safety criteria. These awards were  presented during this year’s KBIS trade fair in Las Vegas.
