They say that a town without children is a town doomed to disappear. That is why it is so important to take care of our schools; to encourage families to choose our municipalities to live in and for there to continue to be children in our streets.
Today, Tuesday, September 10, the school year began for children in Infant, Primary and Special Education. That is why initiatives such as the one launched by the Lúcar Town Hall are in the news. For the second consecutive year, the council has given out free books to all the children in the school; all the school supplies have reached the families of the 21 children enrolled in the CPR Alto Almanzora.
The mayor, Manuel López, in conversation with La Comarca Noticias, points out that the aid amounts to nearly 200 euros for families in the Infant cycle and he is convinced that it is “a relief for the parents of these children”.
López insists that “education should be free for everyone, this Infant cycle is outside the free programme of the Junta de Andalucía, and we want to help the families of our town”.
The children who benefit are the students of the CPR Alto Almanzora in the unit of Lúcar and Cela as well as the students of the Municipal School of Lúcar. Specifically, there have been 21 batches between the first and second cycle of infant school.
