The Andalusian Marble Business Association, AEMA, announces the official opening of applications for the thirty-seventh edition of the Macael Awards, which will take place next Friday, November 15 in the town of Macael, Almería. The event is a national and international reference event that, since its inception, has been conceived to honor professionals in the fields of architecture, design, interior design and construction, whose works have demonstrated their excellence in the use of natural stone and innovative surfaces, as well as institutions and/or people who have contributed in a special way to the development of the sector.
The categories for which applications can be submitted are: International Award for North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia, as well as the Sustainability Award, National Award, and awards for the Person/Institution, for Design, for Communication/Communicator, for the Macael White Work. The international awards, the National Award, the Design Award and the Sustainability Award may be awarded to a work, architect, developer, city council or public administration. Once the applications have been submitted, the jury, made up of the members of the AEMA Board of Directors, will meet to evaluate and select the winners.
The gala will continue to highlight both the international focus of the industry and the commitment to protecting the environment with an event that will once again be carbon neutral.
