‘Sabores Almería’ has landed in the United States for the first time in its history, and it has done so by entering through the grand door opened by the ‘Almeria embassy’ of Cosentino in Miami. The headquarters of the Almeria-based multinational in this city has hosted the presentation of Almeria products to American hospitality professionals who have had the opportunity to discover the excellence, originality, creativity and versatility of the products of the companies that make up the gourmet brand of the Provincial Council.
Various hospitality professionals from Miami, such as restaurateurs, chefs, distributors and salespeople, have personally experienced the quality offered by ‘Sabores Almería’ products thanks to this presentation in which they have tasted different dishes prepared by Almeria chefs using products from the gourmet brand from the province.
The event was attended by the Vice President of the Provincial Council of Almería, Ángel Escobar; the Deputy for Agri-Food Promotion, Carlos Sánchez; the President of the Chamber of Almería, Jerónima Parra; the VP of Institutional Relations for Cosentino North America, Massimo Ballucchi; the President of the Spanish Chamber in Miami, Mónica Vázquez; the Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of Spain, Javier Iraola; and the talented chefs of the Almería Gastronomic Association, Borja González, Luis Arango, Bruno Fernández and Rafa Rodríguez, and the ham cutter Rafa Madrid, institutional representatives of Icex, Trade and Miami Dade County.
The deputy for the Promotion of Agri-Food has thanked all the hospitality professionals from Miami who have attended this event and has stated that “’Sabores Almería’ transforms the best raw material that exists, which is cultivated and exported from Almería to the whole world, into authentic delicacies that meet the most demanding quality standards of the most acclaimed gourmet products. Betting on ‘Sabores Almería’ and the companies of the brand means betting on excellence, health and the best flavour”.
Carlos Sánchez also highlighted the “great opportunity” that this first foray into the US market represents for the entire family that makes up ‘Sabores Almería’, since, as he pointed out, “we are in the year of the brand’s revolution and among our most important objectives are those of opening new markets and marketing channels. We trust that the experience in the United States will open the doors to the most powerful market in the world for us.”
For his part, the president of the Almería Chamber of Commerce, Jerónimo, has highlighted this meeting at Cosentino City, which brings together around 40 gastronomy professionals, importers and distributors and American media in the city of Miami, in the state of Florida, which is a key gateway for Spanish products. The president of the Chamber has underlined the importance of promoting these commercial contacts through the tasting and presentation of Almería products and, in particular, of the agri-food companies integrated into the Sabores Almería umbrella brand promoted by the Provincial Council.
Parra wanted to emphasize once again the importance of the alliance between the Provincial Council and the Almeria Chamber of Commerce to promote and boost the internationalization of the agri-food companies of this gourmet brand. “The presence with its own stand and this commercial presentation in such an emblematic place as Cosentino City in the heart of Miami is being a great experience in which Almeria and its companies are the protagonists”
