The delegate for Economy, Finance and European Funds, Industry, Energy and Mines, Guillermo Casquet, was the herald of the festivities in the town of Macael. An event in which he was accompanied by the delegate of the Government of the Junta de Andalucía, Aránzazu Martín, and the president of the Provincial Council, Javier Aureliano García, as well as other colleagues from the autonomous institution in the province and other authorities.
Casquet has taken a tour of his childhood in the streets of Macael, recalling moments of his childhood and of some friends, who despite the years he still retains, highlighting the important feeling of love for his town and its people. Casquet has highlighted the importance of “young people being educated and then returning to their town, Macael, to continue making it bigger, and to keep their roots alive.”
The delegate had words of affection and respect for the patron saint of the town, the Most Holy Virgin of the Rosary, of whom he said, “she guides the destiny of all the town’s residents.” A heartfelt speech that received the recognition of the numerous residents who came to enjoy the beginning of the Macael festivities.
