The municipality of Albox already has a Fair Poster. This Thursday the presentation was held in the Town Hall Square, where the government team unveiled the image of the All Saints’ Fair 2024, a work by the Albox artist, José Fernando Mellado Pardo.
A cover painted in watercolour “with the church tower and the fountain in the square as columns supporting the fair portico, and above it, the emblematic sign of the coat of arms of the municipality of Albox. In the centre, a young woman in a flamenco dress who turns to look into the eyes of the person looking at the poster to invite them to the fair”. With these words Rosa María Pardo Mármol and José Mellado Molina explained the details of the image. Excited and proud parents who spoke on behalf of the artist, since Mellado Pardo was unable to attend the event for professional reasons.
“When we thought about the Fair Poster we all agreed that José Fernando should be the person in charge and the result could not have been better. Here it is for you to see, a wonderful image that perfectly represents our All Saints Fair. He is a true artist and with this Poster he is part of the history of our town” said the mayor, María del Mar Alfonso.
The poster was revealed behind a large black canvas and received applause from the audience. A work that mixes memories, emotions and the creativity of the artist himself, resulting in a work to remember.
