This Sunday, the municipality of Arboleas put the finishing touch to the XXI Edition of the Al-Arbulí Fair of Arboleas, with a great gastronomic display attended by hundreds of residents of the town and neighboring municipalities.
Despite the unstable weather, the municipal multipurpose hall housed around twenty stalls with local producers that included cheeses, baked goods, honey, traditional sweets, liquors and different flavours from Morocco, Mexico and Argentina.
A workshop on esparto grass, another on clay and in the afternoon a chocolate workshop delighted the little ones who attended each of the scheduled activities e
n masse.

Oliver’s Duet, Son de Barrio and Ernesto DJ provided music for a day of entertainment for all ages, which included face painting, free inflatables and a tasting of typical dishes by local individuals and restaurants.
The event, which took place from October 21 to 27, included talks, round tables and debates about gastronomy and in honor of Al-Arbulí, a 14th-century Nasrid naturalist who left behind a recipe book that is still very relevant today.
A successful event in terms of participation and involvement in an event that promises to continue growing, offering visitors a varied sample of local gastronomy.
The 21st Edition of the Al-Arbulí Conference has been organised by the Arboleas Town Council, in collaboration with the Provincial Council of Almería.
