Rescued alive after falling 100 meters with his vehicle down a ravine

A patrol from the Traffic Subsector of the Civil Guard of the Almería Command assists a driver who had plunged his vehicle down a 100-metre slope on the AL-5107 road, PK 4.95 belonging to the municipality of Carboneras.

On November 7th at around 11:00 p.m., a patrol car from the Traffic Subsector of the Civil Guard Command of Almería was called to the scene by emergency services following a vehicle leaving the road on the AL-5107 highway as it passes through the municipality of Carboneras.

Upon arrival, the Guardia Civil patrol located the vehicle, which had plunged down a 100-metre ravine. One of the officers went down to the vehicle and, after checking the driver’s condition, helped him by getting him out of the vehicle through the window, as he was able to do so on his own.

Three fire brigades from Levante also went to the scene of the accident, where they carried the injured person up to the road, from where he was transferred to Torrecardenas in Almería, where he was treated for minor injuries.

During the rescue, one of the officers involved in the rescue also suffered minor injuries while assisting and supporting the firefighters.
