Next Saturday, December 14, the municipality of Albox celebrates the second edition of the Fair ‘ Albox, with much pleasure’ . A gastronomic event where more than 25 exhibitors will make available to the consumer different products made in the north of the province.
Wines, sweets, crumbs, preserves, cheeses, truffles, almonds, honey, sausages and other top quality products, accompanied by different master craftsmen. A representation of the gastronomic wealth of the area that in recent years has been enriched thanks to the arrival of new residents and has given rise to a varied wealth of flavours.
With the upcoming festivities in mind, this Christmas Market was born last year and achieved great success in sales and public attendance. On that occasion it was held in the Plaza de San Francisco and next Saturday it will be installed in the Plaza Mayor, with the intention of giving life to both areas of the Albox municipality.
“Our municipality has historically been a commercial reference in the province of Almería. From the City Council we want to continue supporting local producers so that they can reach more customers taking advantage of these Christmas dates and thus be able to improve their sales,” said the mayor of Albox, María del Mar Alfonso, during the presentation.
For the second year, the City Council is back to include this event as part of its Christmas programme with the aim of continuing to support entrepreneurs and SMEs, promoting local trade and highlighting local producers, generally of gastronomic products and traditional crafts.
“We are firmly committed to our SMEs. There are many entrepreneurial families in Albox and in our region. They are the driving force and the ones who give life to our towns,” underlines the mayor, convinced that Saturday’s event will serve to “increase their sales and reach new customers.”
In parallel, within the framework of the fair there will be various activities aimed at the whole family, from ten in the morning until six in the afternoon there will be workshops on chocolate, clay, balloon twisting and Christmas decorations. Free mats for the little ones and live music to liven up the whole day.
The ‘Albox, con mucho gusto’ Fair is organised by the Albox Town Council through its Commerce and Culture department, and has the support of the Junta de Andalucía and Gusto del Sur.
