The municipality of Arboleas will hold this Saturday, December 21, the II Edition of its Christmas Market, which this year focuses on the Fight Against Gender Violence and for Equality, as stated by the Councilor for Tourism and Equality, Antonio Martínez. “From the City Council we have created a guide that is a kind of Christmas story where the shops of our municipality appear, with the idea of contributing to strengthening the spirit of community and brotherhood, supporting local commerce,” says the councilor.
From 4pm, those who come to the Town Hall Square will be able to enjoy a gastro-artisanal market with local products, balloon twisting and magic wand workshops for the little ones, free mats, a visit from Santa Claus and his Elves, as well as performances by John Vincent who will pay tribute to Frank Sinatra and Laura Diepstraten, a prominent pianist from the area, winner of the Eurovision Song Contest for blind artists.
“In Almería there is another type of agriculture and livestock farming, which is that of small farmers and ranchers, who also produce excellent quality products. Putting local products in value and giving visibility to SMEs and self-employed workers is part of the policies that we promote from the Department of Agriculture of the Regional Government of Andalusia,” said the territorial delegate, Antonio Mena.
For his part, the mayor of Arboleas, José Juan Ramos, took advantage of the presentation of the Christmas market poster to “invite residents from all over the region to enjoy a day of leisure and activities for the whole family. Arboleas is known for welcoming people from all over the world and here we try to make them feel at home.”
