This Friday morning the presentation of the XI Edition of the Rally Valle del Almanzora – Sierra de Los Filabres took place in the municipality of Arboleas, with the presence of several mayors representing the municipalities where the competition will take place on March 7 and 8, the first round of the Andalusian asphalt and regularity championship.
Once again this year, the event will be held in the town of Olula del Río and the vehicles will be racing through the municipalities of Cantoria, Líjar, Arboleas, Cóbdar, Chercos and Albanchez.
Tourism and sport come together to bring the Almanzora region to life and promote it at a national level. Manuel Alonso, president of the Andalusian Federation of Motorsports, highlighted “the impact on hotel and rural house occupancy, as well as the contribution of the participants to the hospitality businesses, during the days in which the competition takes place.”
As every year, a significant influx of public is expected, attracted by the roar of the engines within the framework of the Andalusian Rally Championship, Copa Diputación de Almería.
