Zurgena dresses in green to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day

This Sunday, starting at 11 a.m., the municipality of Zurgena will once again dress in green for the celebration of St. Patrick’s Day.

Olmo Square will host hundreds of Irish and British residents, as well as anyone interested in participating in a gathering that will include various activities: beer tasting, live music, a dessert-making contest, and a prize for the best St. Patrick’s Day outfit.

A unique festival in the Almanzora region, in a municipality with a significant presence of foreign residents. «We want the residents of Zurgena who were born here and those who have chosen our town to live in to enjoy such a special day. These activities bring life to our municipality and put us on the map of the province. They reflect the spirit of our community, and that’s why we invite everyone to participate in this second edition of the Saint Patrick’s Day Festival,» Mayor Domingo Trabalón told La Comarca Noticias.
