The Local Police of Huércal Overa proceeded to the arrest of a 22 year old male, who responds to the initials A.H., as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of theft in a public establishment of mobile telephony.
The events took place on the evening of Saturday 15 July when, at around 19.30 hours, a call was received from a witness to the incident who said that he was following an individual who had possibly stolen several mobile phones from a mobile phone shop, as he could see him running out of the shop and a woman following him who lost him after a few metres.
The officers, after receiving the call from the witness, asked him not to hang up the phone or lose sight of the suspect, providing his location at all times, as well as the exact description of the clothes he was wearing. The officers who were close to the scene arrived at Molino Street, parked the vehicle in Gobernador Square and when they looked around the corner they could see how the individual was calmly heading towards the direction where the officers were, at which point the officers intercepted him and told him to place the rucksack he was carrying on his back on the ground, which he used to throw it at the officers and run up the street he had come from. The officers began the pursuit, stopping him in María del Mar Acosta Street.

After a superficial search, several mobile phones were intercepted in both his pockets, some of them presumed to be exhibition models.
After being read his rights, he was taken to police headquarters where he was detained. The individual offered active and forceful resistance at the time of arrest, making evasive movements to get away from the officers.
The Local Police officers visited the establishment where the mobile phones had allegedly been stolen, being identified by the shop assistant who had previously reported the theft and even went out after the detainee without managing to detain him in the street.
