This Sunday 17th March from 12 noon, the Plaza del Olmo in Zurgena, will be the setting chosen to enjoy the first edition of the St. Patrick’s Day festival.
The large number of residents of Irish and British origin in general who live in Zurgena and the surrounding area, has prompted the council to formally promote this celebration, as explained to La Comarca Noticias, Antonio Segura, Councillor for Culture.
«I think we are pioneers in incorporating this celebration into the calendar of festivals in the area. San Patricio is closely linked to neighbours who now live in Zurgena and that is why we wanted them to live and enjoy it with us. It is part of integration and coexistence; a good excuse to carry out activities that benefit everyone.

Attendees will be able to enjoy stalls with different types of beers, food, live music, decoration with lots of greenery and everything necessary to celebrate this festival of Christian origin, in honour of the Patron Saint of Ireland.
