No trace of the Overa resident who disappeared on Thursday.

Diego Giménez Parra has been missing from his home since last Thursday, when «as he usually did, at around 4 p.m., accompanied by his dog, he went to pick asparagus», according to the mayor of Huércal Overa, Domingo Fernández, who told La Comarca Noticias.

«He is a local man, from a hamlet with a population of around 700 inhabitants. He is 84 years old and deaf and dumb. He is well known to everyone and since his disappearance, people and administrations have made an enormous effort which has been unsuccessful. Now the search continues along other lines of investigation. We have asked those owners who have closed farmhouses or uninhabited houses to take a look around, in case Diego had sought refuge», asks the mayor of Huercal.

The photo illustrating this information is the one taken by one of the surveillance cameras; Diego Giménez Parra was wearing a light blue shirt, a dark cap and was accompanied by his pet.

Any information that can be provided to clarify the incident, can be offered by calling the Local Police: 950 470 585.
