The eighth edition of the Cycling Tour of Almeria, was presented last Wednesday and this Sunday started from the Plaza Mayor of Albox, giving life and colour to the municipality on a cloudy Sunday morning.
The Tour of Almeria has two very different stages, which allow you to enjoy and discover the sporting and tourist resources that the province has, so the end of the stage in the Sanctuary of the Saliente de Albox, puts in value this architectural jewel dating from the seventeenth century.
The second stage started from Albox and will finish at the top of Mount Roel, after a route of 108.6 kilometres, thanks to the impeccable organisation and the invaluable collaboration of the Local Police of Albox and the Guardia Civil de Tráfico.

Albanchez, Almanzora (Cantoria) and La Molata (Albox) to reach the town centre of this locality, are some of the municipalities through which this event, which brings together some 200 cyclists, passes. From there, the last 22 kilometres of ascent remain, passing through Fuente del Marqués, Locaiba, Los Coloraos, Saliente Bajo, Los Graneros, Los Terregos, Las Pocicas, Arroyo Alías, Saliente Alto and Rambla Tarteros before finishing at the finish line and mountain pass of the Santuario de la Virgen del Saliente.
