The Governing Board of the Provincial Council of Almeria has approved the call for grants for 2023 aimed at associations that are part of the Provincial Family Council in order to enable them to implement various social projects. The total amount of this call amounts to 100,000 euros and associations have until 15 May to submit their projects.
Eligible projects must include activities to be carried out in the province of Almeria and must deal with one of the following strategic lines: family reconciliation, work and family support; training, and a third line of action on awareness and participation. In short, these are initiatives that promote coexistence and participation in the family and raise social awareness of everything related to the family environment.
In addition, the plenary session of the Provincial Family Council was recently held to welcome five associations from Almeria to this body of the Provincial Institution. There are now 66 social entities from all over the province that make up the Council.

The vice-president and deputy for Social Welfare, Ángel Escobar, pointed out that «the Provincial Family Council is a consultative body where synergies are created between the associations that make it up with the possibility of them presenting projects and ideas to shape their initiatives to be carried out in the province», and welcomed the new members.
These social entities that already make up the Provincial Family Council are: Asociación comarcal Mundo de todos; Asociación Activa tu ocio y Dí-Capacitados; Asociación de ocio inclusivo ‘Cuenta Conmigo’; Hermandad Gitana de Almería and Asociación de personas celíacas de la provincia de Almería, ASPECEAL.
Apart from the entry of these associations, the Plenary of the Provincial Family Council dealt with other matters such as the approval of the 2022 report, the presentation of the ‘Provincial Family Planning 2023: promoting families’ and information was provided on the call for grants for members of the Provincial Family Council for this year.
