The project of the Alamillo promenade in Puerto de Mazarrón is being updated by the State Coastal Demarcation, which will carry out its next approval and tender, scheduled for the first half of this year, sources of the State Administration have warned in a statement.
The state body has been working on updating the project since 2018, the first version of which dates back to 2003, but the Mazarrón Town Hall reported that year that part of the land on which the works were planned were privately owned, which forced the technicians to modify the project to adapt to the available land without reducing the area for pedestrian traffic and bicycle circulation.
The Popular deputies for Murcia in the Congress of Deputies have presented a bill and a series of questions to the Government to immediately undertake the works of the promenade of Playa del Alamillo in Mazarrón.

The deputy, Isabel Borrego, argues that the City Council and the Community have already committed their contributions and are still waiting for Costas to assume the part of the infrastructure that corresponds to them.
