Phantom goal leaves Cantoria with nothing

Phantom goal leaves Cantoria with nothing
Cantoria lost by the minimum in their visit to Atarfe.

Cantoria 2017 lost 1-0 on their visit to Atarfe this Sunday, after the referee Ortega García (Jaén), awarded a goal to Alex in the 18th minute, after the ball hit the crossbar of the goal defended by Alberto, and apparently bounced off the goal line according to the Almanzora players.

«It’s not the first time this has happened to us and taking decisions such as validating a very dubious goal that was not even consulted with the linesman, leaves us with the feeling that something is going on», say those around the Cantoria club.

In spite of the blow, Cantoria recovered and took control of the game, but the home team cut everything short with fouls that the referee did not sanction with the corresponding yellow card. Atarfe played to what the referee allowed, so that nothing happened on the pitch.

The visitors claimed a penalty on Darío which was not awarded either. The game ended with the visitors laying siege to the Atarfe area, who made time wasting their main weapon to defend the result.

With this defeat Cantoria fall to the bottom of the table in Group 2 of the Andalusian Division of Honour.

Next Sunday at Los Olivos they will host bottom-placed Vilches.
