
The festival of cycling returns to San Javier which tomorrow Saturday will become a great stage where the best teams and cyclists will prepare to start the legendary Tour of the Region of Murcia with which San Javier has a long history of collaboration. The Mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo and the Councillor for Sports, went yesterday to Cartagena where the official presentation of the Vuelta took place, which can be followed on Eurosport, Teledeporte and 7, with broadcasting also in the United States through Directv.

The start will take place in San Javier at 12:15h tomorrow, Saturday 11th February, in the Avenue Aviación Española at the height of the Youth Council, where the start bridge will be located and where the ribbon cutting will take place before the start of the race. The cycling atmosphere will begin, however, from early in the morning, and especially from 10:00h with a programme of entertainment along the avenue towards the city centre. In fact, at the height of the Almansa Park, there will be a signing control with the race speaker. The cyclists will start arriving at 10:30 am at the service roads on Avenue Aviación, near the local police station where the buses, lorries and race vehicles will be parked.
The cyclists will cycle from there to the gate of the Almansa Park, on Avenida Aviación, to carry out the signature control while they are introduced by the speaker who will be giving all the details of the riders and the race itself. When the peloton sets off, it will leave in the direction of Santiago de la Ribera passing through Mar Menor Avenue, Puerta del Mar Square, Virgen de Loreto Avenue, Querubina Jiménez Street, Paseo Colón, Avenida de España, Avenida El Mirador until the Dos Mares crossroads. From there it will take the road to El Mirador RM-F24 to enter El Mirador via Ciudad del Aire, La Vereda and Carretera RM F-23 where, at the height of Hortamira, the KM0 will be located, where the 1895 kilometres of the race will start, which is expected to finish at the finish line in Cartagena at around 17:30h.
