The CEO of the Group, Juan Manuel Reche Fernández receives the award accompanied by the Mayor of Tíjola, José Juan Martínez.

Juan Manuel Reche Fernández CEO of Grupo Reche Fernández, collected the first prize of the FAMP to the Local Governance 2023 for «The collaborative role of the Andalusian companies with respect to the Local Entities», thanks to his project «Intergenerational Centre of Tíjola», in the Salón del Almirante, located in the Real Alcázar of Seville.

This centre was created by the María Fernández Vega Foundation, which will contribute to social development through educational programmes and interventions in the field of the most disadvantaged groups. The centre will maintain permanent programmes that will benefit people with social difficulties who need special support. It will also develop capacity building and training activities for professionals, social actors and volunteers. The objective of this project is the creation and execution of activities in the intergenerational centre, such as workshops and group dynamics, which will promote the training and labour insertion of the most vulnerable groups, offering the possibility for each person to be the protagonist of their own learning, in an environment of cooperation and solidarity, providing the participants with the possibility of making discoveries and recovering customs based on a sustainable way of life The Foundation will collaborate with the different public administrations, institutions and organisations whose aims include promoting education, developing talent or fostering inclusion, through actions in favour of scientific knowledge and research on these groups, the dissemination of their needs and characteristics, in order to promote their acceptance and social inclusion, and the practical attention to their educational, emotional and social needs, all aimed at the social and labour integration of people with disabilities and the care and support of the elderly in situations of economic and social vulnerability.

The centre, which will have unique facilities in the region, will be an inclusive place, dedicated to groups of associations that want to find in it a place where they can develop activities in connection with nature, aimed at inclusion and the revaluation and enhancement of the rural environment as an engine of the local economy.

The centre will have a space for coworking, generating alliances for the creation of job opportunities and synergies between existing companies, thus promoting employment both in Tíjola and in the region in general.

Similarly, workshops will be held with different activities, creating a common space in which to share experiences. An example of this will be the workshops on cooking, environmental education, recycling, conservation of different species of animals and plants in the area, among others.

To all this we must add the practice of sports related to nature such as hiking, running, horse riding and orienteering, scheduled visits, the enhancement and recovery of trails and local customs, as well as the direct treatment and care of the animals that the centre will have.

Grupo Reche Fernández is a clear example of an innovative company in the territories where it is located, generating a positive impact through the generation of quality employment in segments with low employability, and serving as a model and example for other sectors or companies. Its involvement with the public and the administration leads them to implement projects in collaboration with groups and social agents of reference in different sectors, with Corporate Social Responsibility being an indispensable pillar in the group’s policy.
