The bathing waters of Andalusian beaches are within the established quality levels, according to the report drawn up by the Regional Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs during the first fortnight of June 2023 on the state of the coastline at the start of the summer bathing season. This study is based on the analyses carried out by the Directorate General for Public Health and Pharmaceutical Regulation.
The water samples have been analysed to determine the different parameters required by current regulations, such as macroscopic parameters, transparency, colour, mineral oils, the presence of persistent foam and floating solids, organic remains and any other residue – glass, plastic, rubber, wood – that may affect the healthiness of the water and is considered to be of health interest.
In the case of inland bathing areas, sampling has been carried out in our area at the Cela pond in Lúcar, known as the Almanzora beach.

This report on the sanitary quality of the water, which indicates its suitability and, where appropriate, provides information on recommendations or bans on bathing, will be issued periodically every fortnight throughout the summer season and will be available for public consultation on the website of the Regional Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs until the end of the bathing season on 30 September.
