The mayor, José Miguel Luengo, and the councillor for Public Services, María Dolores Ruiz, visited the renovation work being carried out on the streets between the Príncipe de Asturias park and the General Air Academy in Santiago de la Ribera on Friday. The works, which have a budget of 401,000 euros, «are progressing at a good pace and are expected to be completed by Christmas,» said the mayor.
José Miguel Luengo pointed out that these works are providing a response to the residents’ deficiencies in the pavements and other services in the affected area. The streets Coronel Miguel Ivorra, Calle Piragüista José Antonio Lucas, Calle Acacias, Aguilar Amat and others will see their pavements renewed, totalling 2,200 m² and a total of 5,500m2 of asphalting of roads. The works include the renovation of the drinking water supply, street lighting, some sections of sewerage, telecommunications, horizontal and vertical signage.
