
La Verbena Festival returns to the Barnuevo esplanade in Santiago de la Ribera as a young and family event to be held next weekend, on the 4th and 5th of November with fresh proposals of crafts, music, art and an interesting gastronomic proposal. The councillor for Youth, Isabel Madrid and the president of the Local Youth Council, Rosario García presented this morning the event which promises «a lot of good vibes» and which is defined as a «healthy leisure and participation environment».
The Verbena Festival, organised by the Local Youth Council and Eme Art & Design with the collaboration of the Youth Department of the City Council of San Javier, will offer visitors several spaces such as the Stage, where there will be poetry, book presentations and music with local and foreign groups. In the Market area there will be a total of 35 craft stalls with a wide variety of products, while in the Gastro area the gastronomic offer will be provided by Txío Restaurante, La Liada and Khataris, with Brother’s pub and Café Il Trovarore, in the drinks section. In addition, during the two days of the festival, a podcast will be recorded with AIKE Mar Menor.
The organisers have thanked the participation of Agenda 2030 San Javier, El Águila and Brugal, as well as the numerous sponsors from the commercial and business sector. They also thanked the 30 volunteers who will be working over the two days for the smooth running of the event. The festival will be open from 10:30h to 00:00h on Saturday 4 and from 10:30h to 20:00h on Sunday 5 November. The Councillor for Youth, Isabel Madrid called on young people and the general public, from inside and outside the municipality, to come to the Barnuevo esplanade next weekend and enjoy the varied and complete offer of La Verbena Festival.
