The call is spreading like wildfire among the residents of Cartagena. According to the message that many are receiving on their mobile phones, an illegal party is planned for Saturday 13 January in La Aljorra. The rave will supposedly take place in the Pericón area.
Many of the residents who have received the ‘invitation’ have contacted the Town Hall to report the matter, so council officials are already aware of it. The Local Police, in fact, has already initiated a surveillance device in order to prevent the party from taking place.
The illegal fiesta is scheduled to take place this Saturday at the Pericón site.
The officers are working on a follow-up with inspections being carried out both at the site where the party is expected to take place and at other possible locations that are being considered as alternatives for the clandestine event. They also plan to set up checkpoints in case the organisers succeed in their aim and manage to gather people at this unauthorised party.
«The municipal forces are in coordination with the Guardia Civil and from the City Council of Cartagena we remind the population that attending this type of mass gatherings of public without any kind of control endangers their safety. In addition, they have a negative environmental impact on the natural environment in which they take place,» said the councillor for Public Safety, José Ramón Llorca

One more rave
Precisely with the beginning of the year, a rave, in this case in Fuente Álamo, made the headlines in the media all over the country. Nearly 5,000 people gathered for five days in the so-called ‘big fucking party’ at the municipal speed circuit. When the venue was finally cleared on 5 January, all that could be seen there were mountains of rubbish, leaving evidence of the illegal party.
