The Investigation Team of the Civil Guard of the Albox Post , in the development of four independent and unconnected actions, has clarified four robbery crimes committed in the Valle del Almanzora region that occurred during the months of April and May. The different interventions have resulted in the arrest of seven people and the recovery of part of the stolen effects, including a vehicle, a detonating weapon and six partridges.
The first of the actions took place in the Almeria municipality of Cantoria, following a complaint from a businessman from the town’s industrial estate. According to his testimony, he had received death threats with a gun from a former employee of the company, who demanded payment of 4,200 euros that were supposedly owed to him. In addition, the perpetrator carried a knife and a gasoline bottle, and threatened the businessman with cutting off his fingers and burning down the office.
Thanks to the quick intervention of the agents, the arrest of this individual, a 51-year-old man, was achieved. During the performance, a weapon was recovered and intervened, which turned out to be a blank detonator pistol prepared to fire.

In the second of the actions , which took place in Albox, three individuals, two 32-year-old men and another 35-year-old, participated in the robbery with violence and intimidation of a candy store. To carry out the robbery, they used a fire extinguisher to create a column of smoke and surprise the owners of the establishment, a couple who were inside the premises with their minor daughter. The two assailants, who were carrying a large axe, took the business’s cash register with about 900 euros in cash, while a third person waited for them outside in a vehicle to facilitate their escape.
Civil Guard agents began an exhaustive investigation in collaboration with the Albox Local Police. Thanks to the evidence obtained, they managed to locate the vehicle used in the robbery and, subsequently, arrest the three perpetrators.
Also in the town of Albox, a 21-year-old young man has been arrested for stealing a vehicle from inside a home and falsifying a public document. The perpetrator of the robbery hid said vehicle in his home with the intention of disassembling it. The individual had caused damage to the vehicle, had painted it a different color and had removed the plate with the chassis number with the aim of selling it as scrap metal at the scrapyard.
In the last of the actions , which also took place in Albox, the Civil Guard arrested two young people, aged 19 and 21, for the theft of six partridges, birds of high value in the market. The perpetrators, covered in balaclavas, entered the patio of a house where the birds were, placed them in a sack and fled the scene, first on foot and then on a moped.
When they were caught red-handed, the homeowners set out in pursuit of the assailants while asking the neighbors for help, who were able to notify the Civil Guard. During the escape, the individuals suffered a fall and were forced to abandon the motorcycle and the bag with the partridges and continue their escape on foot.
Once all the information provided by the complainants and witnesses was compiled, the agents were able to locate the perpetrators of the events, who confessed their responsibility.
These actions highlight the outstanding work carried out by the investigation teams of the Civil Guard in collaboration with agents from other Units and the Local Police, thanks to the commitment and professionalism regarding the effectiveness of crime resolution and preventive surveillance devices to maintain collective security of citizens.
