The Territorial Delegate for Development, Land Management and Housing, Dolores Martínez Utrera, accompanied by the Mayor of Albox, María del Mar Alfonso, have visited the works carried out on the roundabout located on the right side of junction 70 of the A-334 motorway, in the municipality of Albox. These are improvement works that have consisted of cleaning and beautifying this roundabout.
The Road Service of the Territorial Delegation has explained that the work has been carried out using the means, personnel and machinery assigned to the company awarded the contract for “ Services for Various Maintenance Operations on the Roads of the Northern Zone of the Province of Almería”, with an investment of 10,831.56 euros (VAT included).
The Delegate for Public Works, Dolores Martínez, explained that the action consisted of “the initial cleaning of the inner surface of the roundabout by clearing the existing weeds, proceeding to level the land for the subsequent installation of an anti-weed mesh on it to prevent and delay the growth of weeds and bushes.”
Martínez explained that “the final embellishment was carried out by spreading white and ochre gravel in concentric circles and including the logo of the Junta de Andalucía with grey gravel around the roundabout as a decorative figure, which gave it a very pleasant visual image.” In addition, “the existing plantations in the roundabout have been maintained at all times and have not been removed from their initial location as a protective measure to avoid the risk involved in transplanting them,” concluded the delegate.
The mayor of the town, María del Mar Alfonso, has thanked the work carried out in this municipality by the Department of Public Works and especially the work being carried out by the territorial delegate, Dolores Martínez, who is always attentive to the needs of all the municipalities and with fast and efficient management. For Alfonso, «making these improvements to the access roundabout to Albox provides the municipality with many advantages but above all an improvement in road safety, which is always so necessary.»
