Employment allocates 5.23 million to the training and hiring of 180 unemployed people

The territorial delegate for Employment, Business and Self-Employment, Amós García Hueso, has reported the opening of the application period, until next August 2, to access the subsidies contemplated in the Employment and Training program, whose call has been published this Tuesday in BOJA ( https://lajunta.es/4xuwf ) and which includes actions to qualify unemployed job seekers in alternation with professional internships. Amós García has detailed that the call has a budget of 5,237,351 euros for the province of Almería, which is estimated to benefit 180 unemployed people through a dozen projects promoted by public and non-profit entities.

“The Employment and Training programme gives special importance to the acquisition of work experience, since in addition to solid theoretical training, these projects will provide participants with a full year of work experience that will give them the experience that will open the doors to the job market,” Amós García stressed.

According to the territorial delegate, “the Employment and Training program was designed in 2021 with the aim of improving the operation and results of the old Workshop Schools and Employment Workshops program, and includes important advantages and new features, such as that students are hired for 12 months and from the first day, receiving a salary established by agreement and never below the SMI. In addition, the promoting entities are responsible for defining and presenting their own projects and in the case of local entities, 100% of the subsidy is advanced so that they do not have to advance their own funds and municipal resources to be able to carry out the projects.

Of the 5,237,351 euros budgeted in Almería within this program, the call allocates 4,693,211 euros to the execution of projects presented by public entities in the province, while the remaining 544,104 euros will finance the proposals presented by private non-profit entities based in Almería, contemplated in both cases in the Order of September 13, 2021.

The website of the Ministry of Employment, Business and Self-Employment details the characteristics that the initiatives to be developed by the entities must meet, whose applications will be resolved on a competitive basis. The projects, which will last one year, will be face-to-face and will have as their fundamental objective to improve the possibilities of labour insertion of unemployed people through activities of public utility or of general and social interest. In any case, the period of time dedicated to the training activity may not be less than 35% of the total hours of each contract, nor greater than 50%, taking 1,920 hours as a reference.

The projects, which cannot be subcontracted to third parties in the training part, have as their starting point the qualification needs of the labour market of the territory in which they are developed. Likewise, they must conform to the training offer established in Annex III of the call, which specifies the specialties contemplated in the Andalusian File of Training Specialties.

The training plan for each project must include, as a minimum, the content required to obtain a professional certificate, in addition to orientation actions, job search advice, employment and professional information or business training for students. The minimum number of students will be ten.

The application forms, which will be addressed to the holders of the Territorial Delegations of Employment, Business and Self-Employment, are available for submission through the computer application for management of vocational training for employment (GEFOC entities), located in the virtual office of the Ministry of Employment, Business and Self-Employment ( https://lajunta.es/4xuws ).
