
The ONCE has chosen today the municipality of San Javier to present its coupon for next Saturday, 26 November, which is dedicated to Mediterranean Day, which is celebrated on the 28th of the same month. The coupon, which invites, textually, to celebrate the Mediterranean on a blue background includes an olive branch in white as the rest of the literature that includes this coupon which has been put on sale 5.5 million units through the 19,000 vendors with which the ONCE has.
The coupon was presented by the territorial delegate of the ONCE in the Region of Murcia, Juan Carlos Morejón de Girón and the Mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo at a ceremony held in the Town Hall of San Javier. The event was attended by other representatives of both the ONCE and the City Council, including Rogelio, the well-known coupon seller in the Town Hall square of San Javier, who is one of the 805 sellers that ONCE has in the Region of Murcia, «the largest employer in Spain of people with disabilities», recalled Carlos Morejón de Girón.
The territorial delegate of the ONCE in the Region of Murcia, Carlos Morejón de Girón, highlighted the coast and the Mediterranean personality of the municipality of San Javier, which has also been chosen for the presentation of the coupon «for the excellent relations it maintains with the ONCE, as with the first open-air museum dedicated to aviation in the Paseo Colón». The Mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo thanked him for his consideration for San Javier and took the opportunity to announce that soon the Typhlological Aeronautical Museum, designed to be touched, will incorporate nine aircraft that will be added to the five existing ones, including the Juan de la Cierva autogyro. Finally, the head of ONCE presented the Mayor of San Javier with a replica of the framed coupon and a real coupon «whose prize, if it is won, will be given to Social Services», said Carlos Morejón de Girón.
