The Alcazaba of Almería has been the place chosen to welcome the Cooltural Fest, a festival that every year has become more and more established in the province, and which receives visitors from all over Spain. The singer, composer and producer Bely Basarte from Madrid was in charge of giving an acoustic showcase on the esplanade of the Torre de la Vela, thanks to the collaboration of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport of the Andalusian Regional Government.
The territorial delegate, José Ángel Vélez, explained that this festival «which is now in its sixth year, has established itself as a point of attraction and meeting point for the province of Almería, and the Andalusian Government did not want to stop supporting it, as an element of cultural dynamism in this land». «The Junta de Andalucía is making a great commitment to festival tourism, aware that they are a very important source of income, as well as an additional attraction to showcase the wonders of this land. We have shown it just a few days ago, supporting the celebration of Dreambeach on the beach of Villaricos, a few months ago we supported the Solazo Fest and now we are doing it by promoting the Cooltural Fest, and in this case we do it with a plus, and it is a performance in such an iconic space as the esplanade of the Torre de la Vela, in the Alcazaba».
For his part, the Councillor for Culture, Traditions and Major Festivities of Almería City Council, Diego Cruz, recalls that «Cooltural Fest has been one of the most ambitious bets that have been made in recent years from the City Council of Almería, through its Culture Area, because it is an event that goes beyond the attraction that live music has in itself, to offer an irresistible combination to a young and dynamic population target, eager to share experiences that go beyond the conventional.» «It has allowed us to join the network of summer festivals in Spain in a big way, attracting tourists, young and not so young, to the city of Almería, where they also enjoy the Fair, our gastronomy, our beach and our heritage, as is the case of the Alcazaba».
