Cosentino stands out in the kitchen and bathroom spaces at Casa Decor 2024

Last week Casa Decor 2024 opened its doors, the benchmark show for interior design and decoration that this year displays all its proposals in an emblematic building, the Palacio de La Trinidad, located at number 82 Francisco Silvela street in Madrid. This imposing setting is the blank canvas on which the sector’s leading professionals and brands showcase the latest trends in interior design, design and lifestyle.

In its 59th edition there are 46 spaces distributed around the estate, surrounded by gardens and with a total area of 3,600 m2, which feature the most disruptive, elegant and advanced proposals signed by both established professionals and promising young interior designers. The exhibition will remain open until 26 May, including Sundays and public holidays, from 11 am to 9 pm.

Cosentino, which has long been linked to this essential event, will once again have a prominent presence, on this occasion, by donating its sustainable products to different spaces. The hybrid mineral surface Silestone®, the ultra-compact carbon-neutral stone Dekton®, and the advanced natural stones Sensa by Cosentino® are the protagonists of some of the most noteworthy and trend-setting spaces at this edition, especially those dedicated to the kitchen and bathroom.

LÍNEA 3 KITCHENS / STEVEN LITTLEHALES (Pavilion-Floor 1. Space 39)
Steven Littlehales has designed “A kitchen to contemplate” for Línea 3, a perfect blend of British style and Mediterranean flair. According to Steven: “This space is a kitchen to look at and appreciate on an aesthetic level, where you can seek inspiration for your own project, but it is also a kitchen whose purpose is to be a space where one can relax, read, meditate and contemplate life”. The space is divided into three areas: living room; kitchen with a peninsula; and an area with two small rooms: laundry and cocktail bar.

The common thread and protagonist of the living and kitchen area is Dekton® Awake. Used in the island, worktop, furniture top and staircase cladding, its golden veins are perfect with the prevailing blues and whites of the room, a full-fledged homage to the Mediterranean. In the laundry area, Silestone® Posidonia Green is used to clad the splashback area in a basin that is embedded in a unit that combines white and wood. And finally, Dekton® Umber gives a touch of personality to the cocktail bar area.

STROHM TEKA SPACE / ERICO NAVAZO ESTUDIO (Palace, Ground Floor. Space 11)
Strohm Teka has once again entrusted the interior designer Erico Navazo to design a space based on the timelessness of the elements, with Cosentino products present in this bathroom proposal. Navazo, known for his ability to create spaces that tell stories, has designed a bathroom that encapsulates the essence of a 1928 palace, injecting it with a natural and contemporary spirit. A sanctuary that invites reflection and appreciation for detail.

As Navazo describes, it is “a place that stands the test of time while retaining its elegance. Reinforcing this concept, beautiful metallic fittings have been selected and reinforced with textures, colours and materials, within a harmonious and unique design”. To achieve this timeless atmosphere, Navazo has also opted for two Cosentino materials. On the one hand, it has used Silestone® Parisien Bleu for the bathtub and the washbasin countertop and, on the other, Sensa Platino appears on the top of a marble table designed especially for the project.

JUKA INTERIOR DESIGN SPACE / JAVIER TOMÁS (Palace-Floor 2. Space 31)
At the head of the Juka interior design studio, Javier Tomás participated for the first time in Casa Decor 2023 with his own space. This year, his proposal, baptised ‘Entre dos aguas’ (Between two waters), recreates a living area in which one is invited to “listen to music, ignite creativity and sharpen the imagination”, as well as the passage area that leads to it. Tomás has teamed up with Sensa and Dekton® to bring his creation to life. In the case of Sensa, the colour chosen is Nahoa, an exclusive Brazilian quartzite used to create details that elevate the decoration. It is used, for example, to cover the window frames and the window frames, as well as the top of the side table.

Dekton® has been used to create a floor in the hallway in the colour Nacre, an elegant cream that oscillates between the appearance of fine microcement and lime stucco, with a gradient in relief. This is intensified in the Dekton® Ukiyo Nacre colour used to create the skirting board in the living room, while Dekton® Umber adds a touch of terracotta to a small table.

SANTOS SPACE / SANTOS TEAM (Pavilion, Ground Floor. Space 44)
The Santos team, a Spanish kitchen furniture manufacturer with more than 60 years of experience, is another of the firms that “vindicates” the relevance of the kitchen in today’s homes. Its space, under the title “Reflejo del tiempo” (Reflection of Time), has been inspired by different architectural and decorative aspects of the Palacio de la Trinidad. A kitchen that fuses clean lines with natural materials and warm textures, creating a pleasant and welcoming ambience in which nothing is superfluous.

For the kitchen furniture we have opted for designs with pure lines, light materials such as glass, and natural finishes such as Fresno Olivo wood, applied in the base units, and Sensa Taj Mahal stone by Cosentino, a Brazilian quartzite present in the worktops and the sink.
