Taking advantage of the inauguration of the 1st edition of the Book Fair in Albox, the local government team has launched ‘Marca Albox’. A new image that the neighbours have welcomed with great enthusiasm.
The event was attended by the government team chaired by the mayoress, María del Mar Alfonso, who explained to the residents the need to “modernise the image of the municipality and to do so with a brand that represents the best of our town, everything we are very proud of”.
During the event, a promotional video was shown explaining the details and meaning of the new design. A spot that has subsequently been uploaded to social networks and has been very well received.
Marca Albox was born with the idea of creating a visual identity for the municipality, as it lacked a corporate personality that could identify it on posters or events. And, of course, that would serve to achieve a cohesive and distinctive image.
The new brand reflects the most characteristic features of the people of Alboja; the Virgen del Saliente, the blue colour of its skies and its flag, its resilient and enterprising attitude, and the fact that it is the heart of the Almanzora, epicentre of all the towns in the region.
The new design gives special prominence to the La Pequeñica Crown. It is present in the brand because it is the most iconic and representative element of the people of Almanzora. It is merged with the letter O, as it is the vowel that we accentuate with our peculiar way of pronouncing, as most people do not pronounce the X, or the three bridges that the town centre has. “With this new image that we hope everyone will feel as their own, the people of Alboja will have a sign of identity that represents us and that we will use to identify ourselves from now on”, concluded the mayoress.
The design and creation of the strategy has been carried out by a local Marketing and Advertising company, “IOB Marketing”.
